A 1951 home movie of the inaugural season of Mystic Little League. The film shows the June 3, 1951 opening day doubleheader at which over 400 people attended. The Mystic Community Center Band played the National Anthem followed by the opening throw from Groton First Selectman Charles T. Crandall to Mystic Fire Chief Frank Mabett to Fire District Executive Chairman Charles Kieburg.
In the only double header of the season, C.J. Perkins beat Flightex Mills 21-6 in Game 1. Tommy Perkins hit a home run and pitched the entire game. In Game 2, Bud's Mystic Motors beat Groton P.B.A. 4-3.
